CTV’s Summer Schedule Includes the Return of The Amazing Race Canada

CTV has unveiled its schedule for this summer, which includes the return of The Amazing Race Canada.

Returning for a fifth season The Amazing Race Canada will debut on July 4 and will celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary. Other returning reality shows include Masterchef on May 31, American Ninja Warrior on June 12, Hollywood Game Night on June 20 and $100,000 Pyramid on June 25.

Debuting May 30 is the new competition series, World of Dance, produced by Jennifer Lopez and hosted by Jenna Dawn Tatum. The world’s most talented dancers will compete for $1 million before a star-studded panel which will include Lopez, Derek Hough and NE-YO. Another new reality series debuting this summer on CTV is Gordon Ramsay’s The F Word on May 31. Based on his hit UK series, The F Word combines good food and great cooking with Ramsay’s passion, energy and humour in a one-of-a-kind live series.

On the drama front, the network will premiere new Shondaland series Still Star-Crossed for Canadian audiences (airs on ABC in the U.S.) beginning May 29. Saving Hope wraps up its five-season run beginning June 8 while Zoo returns for its third season beginning June 29.

CTV is also offering a fresh lineup of summer events, including the reinvention of Dirty Dancing on May 24 which will star Debra Messing, Bruce Greenwood, Abigail Breslin, and Colt Prattes. The new edition of James Corden’s The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special will air on May 22. Award shows returning this summer include The 2017 Billboard Music Awards on May 21, The 71st Annual Tony Awards on June 11 and The 2017 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards on June 18.

CTV will also air a new special “for Canadians by Canadians,” Canada In A Day on June 25, which is a snapshot of Canadians at home and around the world for Canada’s 150th birthday.
