MuchMoreMusic to rebrand

Look for MuchMoreMusic to be rebranding as MuchMore this coming Tuesday/Wednesday (March 31st/April 1st). Looks like the videos will be sticking around (thank god) but we’ll be getting more scripted reruns as Enterouge joins Party of Five. Loop seems to be history, however Matt Wells will be headlining a new daily pop culture show called Daily Fix which will cover music, technology, entertainment, gaming and artist interviews (Weekdays 7pm-8pm). There will also be launching PunchMuchMoreRetro which is obviously a retro PunchMuch and a morning program black called Juiced which will combine music videos, weather and entertainment news from 6am until 10pm. mmmTop10.com is renamed mmTop10.ca.

I’m glad they’re keeping Wells around…much more interesting than those VJs from MuchMusic…he’s kinda like a classic 90s VJ (George, Bradford, Rachel, Sook-Yin). Wells isn’t only a host but a videographer and recording artist. He’s got his own hardcore band, The Lost Republic and also does some solo work.

Did they really need to drop the “music” from the name? They seem to be playing a lot more music than what’s on MuchMusic at the moment. They could have just re-done the logo. Oh well, at least CTVglobemedia isn’t calling it VH1 Canada.
