A Very Sunny Christmas, Big Love, Vanessa Marcil and more

— Out of all the Christmas themed episodes this season, my favourite has to be It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s special…okay so this technically didn’t air on TV but A Very Sunny Christmas was absolutely amazing. If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to watch it immediately. Run out to wherever you get your DVDs or Blu-Rays…or that place online…you know, rhymes with ginga rodeo. Here’s a preview:

— In other Sunny news, looks like Mac and Sweet Dee are opening their own Paddy’s Pub in Philly! Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson (the two got hitched last year, in case you didn’t know) have bought a bar in Philadelphia’s Old City neighbourhood. They’ll be calling it Mac’s Olde Towne Tavern.

— How did y’all like Avatar? Anyway, James Cameron is apparently developing a sci-fi series for Fox which will (obviously) be set in the future.

— The fourth season of Big Love premieres in less than two weeks away but I’m still reeling that this will be Amanda Seyfried’s final season to focus on films full-time. Apparently Big Love’s six-month filming schedule cut away at her film choices. Sucks.

— The year couldn’t end without the beautiful Vanessa Marcil gracing a soap mag under false pretences. Soap Opera Weekly claims that Brenda “could” return to General Hospital in 2010! That’s like Us Weekly reporting Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s secret rendez-vous or Rolling Stone publishing a special collector’s issue.

— Showtime has released the poster for United States of Tara’s second season which will premiere on March 22nd.
