The TV Watercooler

Chuck, Lauren Graham, Lost and more

— iPhone and iPod touch owners, you all need to download the new Chuck app! With “Chuck Me Out”, you can create your very own Nerd Herd badge, place your face next to Chuck, Sarah and Captain Awesome. You can then send over your images to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

— Here’s an awesome interview that Zap2It did with Zachary Levi to discuss Chuck’s new ass-kicking abilities. NBC recently upped Chuck’s 13-episode order to 19 and as a result, Levi had to back out of Thor, “I really, really wanted to do Thor. Just working for Kenneth Branagh would have been unbelievable, but then getting to work with Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman and being part of this huge franchise move would have been unreal. But I’m a man of faith, and I believe God puts you where he wants you and where you’re supposed to be. So I know that wasn’t supposed to be. I was supposed to be here with these guys and continue having the fun we do and continue making the show we love to make.”

— Dawson Leery returns to TV! James Van Der Beek is joining the cast of NBC’s Mercy in the recurring role of Liam West who will be the hospital’s new ICU chief. Entertainment Weekly describes the role as “cocky, womanizing and manipulative” and will have a “dark secret.” For some reason, TVTropolis has decided to stop airing Dawson’s Creek reruns.

— After hanging out with the Jersey Shore crew and Letterman yesterday, Michael Cera can now be seen in the music video for Islands’ “No You Don’t.” He’ll also be stopping by MTV Live tonight. Youth in Revolt hits theatres this Friday.

Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band and Green Day have been announced as performers at this year’s Grammy Awards. They’ll join Pink, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Maxwell and the Black Eyed Peas on Jan. 31st.

— As for tomorrow night’s People’s Choice Awards, Mary J. Blige and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform as are Cobra Starship…but don’t get your hopes up, Nicole Scherzinger will perform with them, not Leighton Meester…ugh. This list of talent may actually make up for the lack of Cobra/Leighton performance…but still, such a wasted opportunity.

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘sTatyana Ali will star in a new sitcom for US cable network, TV One, called Love That Girl!. The show is produced by Martin Lawrence and will have its premiere on Jan. 19th. Martin has produced four episodes and if the show is a hit, the network will pick up 13-26 additional episodes. Ali will play a young divorcee who returns home to Southern California and takes a job at her father’s real estate business and move in with her unemployed brother. Last night on MTV’s daily After Show, Ali was lambasted for pretty much not having a career and look at her a daily later. And for those who didn’t know, Ali currently has a recurring gig on Y&R (as Roxanne) and stars on Buppies, BET’s acclaimed web soap.

— Check out the new promos for NBC’s Parenthood featuring Lauren Graham. The series will premiere on March 1st.

— I’m not really a fan lost Lost anymore but I do have the new “Last Supper”-inspired promos for those of you who still watch:
