Zooey Deschanel, 30 Rock, Podcast and more

— It’s been a rough week. Ugly Betty is still cancelled, Kristen Bell is engaged to Dax Shepard and Lady Gaga’s Grammy win didn’t make it to the televised portion. But guess what? It’s time for February sweeps! Modern Family, Ugly Betty, Community, Parks & Recreation, The Office and 30 Rock are all back this week.

— There has been some good news: Parks & Recreation has been picked up for a third season. Meanwhile, Andy Samberg will pop up on the March 18th episode as Carl, the head of security for Pawnee’s parks.

Zooey Deschanel has been cast on HBO’s new pilot, I’m with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie. The series will be based on Pamela Des Barres’s memoirs from the 60s – some of her rumored hookups include Mick Jagger and Jimmy Page. The blue-eyed beauty will also co-produce.

— The house from Full House is for sale.

— I still don’t know what to think about Michelle Trachtenberg’s spread for Complex (anyone remember Thora Birch?), but the story about her recent run-in with her former high school bully is pretty awesome.

— Old people are still trying to keep Conan O’Brien off TV. Rupert Murdoch says he only wants Conan on FOX if he’s profitable.

— I usually refrain from posting about Speidi, but thanks to Franken-Heidi’s mom, we’ve got a new nickname for her: Circus Freak!

— I also thought I wouldn’t have to mention anything on the Jonas Brothers, but Joe Jonas will play a young Tommy Walker in the Brothers & Sisters flashback episode.

— The second episode of the TV Casualty Podcast is up. Kat and I discuss the season finale of Jersey Shore, Rob Lowe leaving Brothers & Sisters and the return of Lost. Check it out here.

— I knew that Jon Hamm was returning to 30 Rock next week for its Valentine’s Day episode, but so are Liz Lemon’s other ex-boyfriends: Jason Sudeikis and Dean Winters. Think that’s enough? Nope, the episode will also Jon Bon Jovi and Elizabeth Banks. Here are some photos from Liz’s nightmare featuring Don Drapper, Suds and the Beeper King:
