Glee does Madonna, The Hoff returns to Y&R, Parenthood renewed and more

— I got a chance to check out tonight’s all-Madonna themed episode of Glee last week and it’s obviously a must-see. Sue is randomly obsessed with Madge and blackmails Principle Higgins to play her hits throughout the day. Mr. Shue realizes that Madonna’s music could give the girls in the glee club inspiration after being disrespected by the boys. The highlight of this episode, as with any Glee ep has to do with Kurt and Mercedes, who help makeover Sue and use “Vogue” to do it. I’m sure you’ve already seen it, but here’s the amazing shot-by-shot remake of “Vogue” sung by Sue Sylvester. (Will Shuester, I hate you.)

David Hasselhoff is set to return to The Young and the Restless this June as Snapper Foster (Jill’s brother). Hassellhoff originally played the role from 1975 until 1982 (taking over from William Gray Espy). Snapper isn’t the only Foster coming back, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Julianna McCarthy will return as Foster matriarch Liz while Wings Hauser will be back as brother Greg. What could this Foster family reunion mean? Will there be a death? Could Jill (Jess Walton) finally find out who her birth parents are?

All My Children’s Rebecca Budig has filed for divorce from ‘Bachelor’ Bob Guiney after five years of marriage.

— Very scary…Kal Penn was robbed at gunpoint last night in Northwest Washington.

— Good news! NBC has renewed Parenthood for a second season. While I’m happy that the network has renewed the new hit, I don’t really understand why they’re waiting until upfronts to announce whether or not Chuck will be back for a new season. It’s like the enjoy making us worry season after season.

— HBO has announced an 8th season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

— Sure, the new Melrose Place had its problems when it first started, but things were actually starting to get better towards the end. Ella (Katie Cassidy) turning Amanda (Heather Locklear) to the cops at the end of the season finale was priceless. Speaking of Cassidy, Melrose’s new HBIC is on Chelsea Lately tomorrow night.

— Excited for Party Down’s return later this week? The show’s stars, Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott and Martin Starr have created a new Funny or Die video, “Mummy!” which is hilarious. Sadly, it won’t embed, so please click here.
