Earthquake to rock 90210, Kelly Cutrone’s show finally comes to Canada, Jersey Shore’s new Guidette and more

— Expect an earthquake to play a key role in 90210’s season premiere on September 13. Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman told TV Guide that they “wanted to open the season with an event that has both physical and emotional ramifications for several people” and that one of the characters will have a “very serious injury that takes time to resolve and sort of changes the direction of his or her life.”

— As for fans of the original Beverly Hills 9210, you’ll be happy to know that Luke Perry and Jason Priestley are teaming up Hallmark Movie Channel’s Goodnight for Justice. Perry will star and serve as the executive producer while Priestley will direct the western.

— Some sad news, actor Maury Chaykin (Sam on Less Than Kind) has passed away. In honour, Bravo! will air Whale Music on July 29th at 9 p.m. Chaykin won a Genie award in 1994 for his performance in the film.

— Fox has announced that the Glee guys (Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Cory Monteith and Mark Salling) will co-host the Teen Choice Awards next Monday with Katy Perry

— Corus announced CosmoTV’s fall acquisitions today. Cosmo fans can look forward to a fresh season of Oh So Cosmo with hosts Josie DyeWilder Weir and Jacqui Skeete. Meanwhile, Kelly Cutrone’s reality show finally arrives in Canada. Kell On Earth will premiere on Monday, October 11 at 9 p.m.

— Tom Welling is trying to convince Michael Rosenbaum to return to Smallville before the series ends.

— Looks like Jersey Shore has found Angelina’s replacement. Snooki’s friend Deena Nicole Cortese will appear in the third season. The “bad ass brunette” is a 23 year-old former cheerleader from Lincroft, New Jersey. Here’s a shot of her from Radar Online
