Big Brother 13: Meet the Houseguests

Big Brother’s back for its thirteenth season this Thursday night and they’ve already announced this season’s first twist. The show will have eight new players and then six returning “duos” from the past. Late last week, CBS released the new cast (Shocker: We’ve got four minorities!) as well as information about the twelve possible candidates that could find themselves back in the Big Brother house. The casting process seems to be quite confusing so let’s break out the main facts.

The show was supposed to bring in ten new houseguests, but two either backed out or were not chosen. Among them, was Jason Thomas, a 26 year-old boxing promoter. CBS’s website has six duo options: Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly (Big Brother 12, Dr. Will Kirby and Mike “Boogie” Malin (Big Brother 2 and All-Stars) Jessie Godderz and Natalie Martinez (Big Brother 11), Evel Dick Donato and Daniele Donato (Big Brother 8), Jeff Shroeder and Jordan Lloyd (Big Brother 11)  and Hayden Moss and Enzo Palumbo (Big Brother 12). Dr. Will seems to have backed out, so don’t expect Will/Booggie to return. I’m not entirely sure why Allison Grodner keeps trying to make Jessie happen. No one has ever liked him (inside or outside of the house). In fact, Jessie and Natalie have only received 1% of the online vote since last Friday. Natalie has since tweeted that she and Jessie will not be going back to the house! Hurray, looks like Allison finally got the message.

Of course, Jeff and Jordan are in the lead, followed by Dick/Dani and Brenchel (seriously).

I seriously hope they mix things up and bring back actual all-stars from the past like Janelle and Kaysar. How amazing would that be?

Adam

– Adam Poch is a 39 year—old Music Inventory Manager from Hoboken, N.J.
– He describe shimself as “funny, loud and cuddly”

– Stalker Report: His LinkedIn.com profile lists him as a Supply Chain Planner for Sony BMG, bacon enthusiast and a huge fan of the original Beverly Hills 90210 (he has all ten seasons)

Cassi

 – Cassi Colvin is a 26 year-old model who is living in Nashville, Tenn.
– Describes herself as “stubborn, sincere and funny”
– Enjoys sitting outside and drinking beer
– Afraid of heights
– A vegetarian
– Has appeared in Cosmopolitan, Allure, Seventeen and Marie Claire

Dominic

– Dominic Briones is a 25 year-old college student from San Mateo, CA.
– Fan of previous houseguest Jeff and hated Jessie
– Enjoys riding motorcycles and mountain bikes
– Lives at home with his parents and attends San Francisco State
– Actual quote: “I’m afraid STDs. Everything else, I can adapt to.”
– Favourite former houseguest is Enzo
– Is also a professional model

Kalia

– Kalia Booker is a 30 year-old writer from Philadelphia who now lives in Los Angeles
– She’s “Dramatic, adventurous and gregarious”
– Loves to sing, shop, write, go out with friends and hit the beach
– Favourite former houseguests are Dr. Will, James and Janelle
– Afraid of snakes
– She’s told We Love Big Brother that even “pretty girls pass gas”
– Has a special someone back home
– Her boobs are real
– Stalker Report: She seems clean. The best we could do is find her twitter account, but it’s private (boo)

Keith

– Keith Henderson is a 32 year-old Human Resources Manager from Bolingbrook, Il.
– Enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, being spontaneous and “writing poetry AND going to church”
– Has appeared on Genuine Ken: The Search for The Great American Boyfriend (on Hulu)
– Stalker Report: This guy is also clean. Let’s pray he’s really into Jesus and makes things interesting for the more liberal houseguests

Lawon

– Lawon Exum is a 39 year-old Legal File Clerk who is currently living in Inglewood, CA
– He describes himself as “Handsomsexy,” which is just ridiculous
– He loves to exercise since he keeps him looking “handsomefied” (okay, so we’re thinking he’s the token gay this season)
– He’s afraid of roaches
– Stalker Report: He’s got his own YouTube channel called “ExumOut” where he usually posts videos from when he’s driving around. There are also a few dramatic videos from March where he talks about some of his big life changes to all of his 28 fans. He seems pretty dramatic, so hopefully he’ll be one of those over the top houseguests we love to hate. Since Keith is all about Jesus, it’ll be interesting to watch what goes on between Keith and Lawon.

Porsche

– Porsche Briggs is a 23 year-old VIP Cocktail Waitress who is now living in Miami Beach
– Describes herself as “sexy, bitchy and clever”
– Enjoys going to the beach, going out to eat and then clubbing (in that order)
– He favourite past cast member is Natalie Martinez (ugh)

Shelly

– Shelly Moore is a 41 year-old Outdoors Industry Executive who  lives in Prairieville, LA.
– Describes herself as “dynamic, tenacious and giving”

– Hates snakes and tall buildings (hmmm)
– Married and has a daughter

Barring any last minute surprise returns,  we’ll most likely see Jeff, Jordan, Brendon, Rachel, Dick and Daniele return to the Big Brother house.

Big Brother will air Thursdays at 9 p.m., Sundays at 8 p.m. and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Global and CBS. Big Brother After Dark will air on the Global Reality Channel and Showtime 2 from midnight to 3 a.m. every night.
