Jeremy Renner on the Kardashians: ‘Those stupid, stupid people’

You can add Jeremy Renner to the growing list of celebrities who don’t see the worth in reality television’s most overexposed family.

You can add Jeremy Renner to the growing list of celebrities who don’t see the worth in reality television’s most overexposed family.

While discussing fame and celebrity, The Bourne Legacy star told The Guardian that the Kardashians are “ridiculous people with zero talent who spend their lives making sure everyone knows their name” and later referred to the brood as, “Those stupid, stupid people.”

Renner isn't the only one taking (admittedly easy) shots at the Kardashians. Last week, when asked about what he thought of rap rival Kanye West’s ode to girlfriend Kim Kardashian (via new song, “Perfect B*tch”), 50 Cent told XXL magazine that “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Earlier this year, Mad Men star Jon Hamm famously insulted  Kim, as well as Paris Hilton, saying that being an idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture.”

As for his own fame, Renner insists that he never wanted to be famous, “All I wanted to do was be in a movie that would play in a big enough theatre that my family would get to see it.”

Here…here…one can’t help but agree with Renner. Two things in play here, either the ratings are wrong and not that many folks watch this drivel…in which case advertisers are being grossly over-charged to air ads…or…there really are that many air-heads in America!

It’s strange that all the stars knocking the Kardashians know so much about them. Could it be that they watch the Kardashians reality shows as well?! I’m tired hearing celebrities bad-mouthing other celebrities, like the Kardashians — and yes, they ARE celebrities. For fans, of which I’m one, will not be swayed — we love them!. I’d rather watch the Kardashians than Mad Men and I am no longer a Jeremy Renner fan.

They aren’t real celebrities. What do they do other than get on TV shows. I don’t think that “reality show” people are celebrities. I have no idea why people are so interested in their boring lives. I hope that media gets tired of the Kardashians eventually, like they did Paris Hilton. I will be so happy that day.

Yes, I agree with most comments here! Why do we even care! Those people who follow those “stupid, stupid people” does not have any life at all and without saying making them rich! I sure don’t because I have my own life to follow.

Well put. Never understood the desire to expose family laundry in such ridiculous fashion. Can’t understand the need to clutter our brains with such nonsense as some of these reality shows.

Sorry to burst your bizarre bubble but it’s air-heads such as yourself that make these people think they are “celebrities”. They are not. They are publicity whores, no more and certainly no less.
And Kim needs to seriously consider liposuction on that gargantuan ass of hers. It’s repulsive.
