Anchorman 2 to hit screens early, TSN will keep HNIC theme and a look at next’s week’s Arrow

— Look for Anchorman 2 to hit theatres two days early on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

— Although they were shut out of the big NHL deal, TSN says that it has no plans to give up the rights to the Hockey Night in Canada theme which they acquired in 2008.

— As expected, look for Rogers to up the prices of cable costs now that they’ve signed that $5.2-billion deal.

Game of Thrones and The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings fans: George R.R. Martin visited the Middle Earth set in New Zealand.

Robin Thicke and Jennifer Hudson will join Fall Out Boy, Jason Derulo and Enrique Iglesias for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Fergie will host the special along with Seacrest.

— Former Fringe star Kirk Acevedo (who’s currently recurring on The Walking Dead) has joined the cast of Syfy’s 12 Monkeys.

Katherine Willis, who played Scott Porter’s mother on Friday Night Lights, has joined the cast of Lifetime’s Deliverance Creek, the two-hour backdoor pilot from Nicholas Sparks.

Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black, Weeds) will return to Law & Order: SVU.

John Corbett will return to Parenthood later this season.

— ABC Spark has set January 15 as the premiere date for returning comedies Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy.

Atlantis has been renewed for a second season.

— OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder will join The Voice as their first-ever in-house producer and songwriter, per Variety.

Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have each invited their estranged husbands, Bruce Jenner and Lamar Odom to Thanksgiving dinner.

Barbara Hershey will take her popular Once Upon a Time character, Cora, to Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

— There’s no new episode of Arrow tonight, but check out an extended promo from next week’s episode, “The Scientist,” which features an appearance by Barry Allen (aka The Flash) played by Grant Gustin (Glee, 90210).
