Y&R renewal is a pretty “safe bet,” says Eric Braeden


victor nikki 2013With The Young and the Restlessthree-year renewal deal coming up at CBS. Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) shared a positive outlook:

“The show has been number one in the ratings for 28 years. So I would assume it to be renewed. Nothing in the corporate world these days is a safe bet, but I would say that this is as safe as it can be.”

The television icon was in Toronto this past weekend for fan appearance at OLG Woodbine and the Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival (in support of medical research and innovation) also shared his thoughts with me regarding the controversial Delia storyline, father/son relationships and the enduring popularity of Victor’s pairing with Nikki.
