Fans of the remaining daytime dramas received amazing news this week as all four soaps will officially continue.
NBC announced that the Corday/Sony-produced Days of our Lives has been picked up for two more seasons (through September 2016) while Deadline is reporting that General Hospital is expected to continue on ABC (the house of mouse doesn’t need to issue renewals as it owns the series).
Last week, CBS announced that both The Bold and the Beautiful (produced by Bell-Phillip Television) and The Young and the Restless (produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company and Sony Pictures Television) had received pickups for the 2014-2015 season. CBS went ahead and even confirmed that Y&R had received a three-year pickup, keeping daytime’s number one soap until at least 2017.
