— Are things starting to get back on track over at The Young and the Restless? Last week Soap Opera Digest reported that Eileen Davidson had signed an exclusive deal to return to the CBS soap as Ashley Abbott beginning this September – while she’ll also be appearing on Days of our Lives as Kristen DiMera. “They had been reaching out for quite a while and wondering what I wanted, so the deal we made suits my life very well. I’m really happy. I’ve put in a lot of years in this medium, which I don’t take for granted, so I’m very grateful,” the actress told the magazine in a statement they posted online.
Davidson, who won the Emmy Award on Sunday night for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role as Kristen on Days of our Lives, told the Daytime Emmy Awards press room that she has worked out a deal with Sony that would allow her to have outs to appear on NBC’s soap (which Sony also produces).
CBS Daytime Senior Vice-President teased to Daytime Confidential that Ashley’s return to Y&R will include a “substantial” business storyline involving Jack (Peter Bergman) and Jabot.

— Congratulations to Y&R’s Robert Adamson (Noah) and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Lindsey Godfrey (Caroline) – the real-life soap couple welcomed their first daughter on June 12, daughter Aleda Seren Adamson.
— Here’s some scoop coming up this week on Days of our Lives! Look for Eve (Kassie DePaiva) to show up on Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) doorstep on today’s episode. Jen will think that her former high school rival is still bitter over their high school crush Frankie Brady, but Eve informs her that she’s there to talk to her about their mutual ex-husband, Jack!
Eve drops a bombshell on Jennifer, that when she signed Jack’s annulment agreement, they also signed a document which states that Eve would get half of whatever earnings Jack would make from long-form writing, which would include his book about his time in Afghanistan.
