When: Friday, September 19, 2014
Venue: The Garrison
The vibe: Iliza performed after Nikki, and the crowd was much more relaxed. Probably because they all went to Subway to grab a bite to eat since no one knew what was going on with The Garrison’s kitchen staff.
Previously on: Only female winner of Last Comic Standing, Netflix special War Paint.
How was it? Hilarious. Iliza has great stage presence. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up because you can miss stuff while you’re laughing. And the voices… She can swiftly change from her normal voice, to that pumpkin spice-loving basic bitch to the devil that’s going to destroy you.
Not afraid to make fun of herself, and other women – which she does confidently and truthfully. After her 75-minute set, Iliza just casually wandered off the stage and met with fans and posed for pictures. Great lady.
Relatability score: High – she’s honest about herself and the subjects she tackles (men, women, dating, life). You feel like you know her… that you understand her and more importantly, she understands you.
