— Katherine Kelly Lang will be exiting The Bold and the Beautiful temporarily as the actress has been asked to join the cast of Italy’s version of Dancing with the Stars (Ballando con le Stelle). Lang revealed the news on her Facebook page and addressed Brooke’s fate. It looks like Brooke will be travelling to Milan (at Forrester International) for “some much needed private time and reflection.” Lang’s first live dance on Ballando con le Stelle is set for October 4th.
No word yet if B&B will pre-tape scenes featuring Brooke in Milan or if the soap will once again venture to out on another international location shoot.
— This is neat: original The Young and the Restless cast member Tom Hallick will return to the soap, but not as Brad Elliot (the neurosurgeon turned reporter). Instead, he’ll be playing a truck driver who helps Phyllis (now played by Gina Tognoni) by giving her a lift back to Genoa City. Hallick and Tognoni are actually recreated the very first Y&R scene – but with Hallick playing the truck driver this time. Hallick appeared on Y&R from 1973 until 1978. — The Young and the Restless’ Chris McKenna (Det. Mark Harding; also ex-Joey, One Life to Live) has landed a recurring role on NBC’s new series, State of Affairs.
— Another week, another GH/Y&R casting exchange. Former General Hospital actress Kelly Sullivan (ex-Kate/Connie) is heading to The Young and the Restless. Her character, Sage, is described by Soap Opera Digest as “intelligent, competent, discreet, and reserved.” Sullivan begins filming on September 24 and will first air on the Monday, October 27th episode in Canada (airs Oct. 28 in the U.S.).

— General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco will appear on ABC Family’s Baby Daddy when Danny (played by Derek Theler), who is a New York Ranger on the show, is offered a role GH. Entertainment Weeklyreports that Monaco will play an over-the-top version of herself. The episode is set to air in 2015. Baby Daddy airs on ABC Spark in Canada.
— Yes, he’s back! Robert Kelker-Kelly (ex-Bo, Days of our Lives; ex-Shane/Sam, Another World) returned to General Hospital on Tuesday’s episode as the unfrozen (again) Stavros Cassadine.
— All My Children grad Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee) gave birth to a baby girl.
— The rumour was true: Antonio Sabato Jr. will be taking part in the new season of Dancing with the Stars! The actor wouldn’t mind returning to GH at some point (as Jagger Cates) if asked.
