Canadian talent competition Tiny Talent Time is returning to TV!

The original series, where children showcased their performance skills, aired for nearly four decades (from 1957 until 1992) on Hamilton’s CHCH television and was hosted by notable Canadian performer Bill Lawrence.

The series was revived for a short period in 2000 and will be a part of CHCH’s 60th anniversary celebration.

Like in its original incarnation, Tiny Talent Time features no judges or competition – just an outlet for talented children to perform on stage for a nation. Hosted by Jason Agnew (YTV’s Splatalot) and CHCCH Morning Live First Edition’s Jaclyn Colville, the 12-episode first season will premiere this Saturday, September 6 at 7 p.m. and will air 12 episodes through November 22.

“I may not have been talented enough to be on Tiny Talent Time as a kid, but CHCH was a huge part of my childhood, so I’m elated to be host of the new show,” said Agnew in a statement. Meanwhile, Colville added, “TV that showcases young talent in such a positive way… who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? It was a privilege to work alongside Jason Agnew as the host of Tiny Talent Time. I can’t wait for everyone to see just how charming, confident, funny, and of course talented these kids are.”
