CBS sets James Corden’s Late Late Show debut, Netflix’s Bloodline tease and more

— CBS has announced that The Late Late Show with James Corden will debut on Monday, March 9, 2015. Craig Ferguson will exit the late night talk show on December 19, 2014. A number of guest hosts are expected to rotate during the gap.

— Lifetime has cancelled the Montreal shot series The Lottery.

— Fox wants Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Brothers & Sisters) to develop a live-action series based on Archie comics. Warner Bros. will co-produce.

— Fox also seems to want a Stitch TV series.

Courtney Love has landed a recurring gig on Fox’s midseason drama Empire.

— ABC and Marc Cherry (Devious Maids, Desperate Housewives) are teaming up for a TV series based on The Phantom of the Opera.

— CBS has cut CSI’s episode count from 22 to 18 because they’ve got too much other programming. CSI is simulcast on CTV in Canada. Oh and as for the new shows CBS has on tap: The final season of The Mentalist, Vince Gilligan’s Battle Creek and the latest CSI spin-off CSI: Cyber, which will star James Van Der Beek.

— The world may soon be rid of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but for totally creepy reasons.

— Former The Hills star Stephanie Pratt’s thirst for reality TV stardom continues when Bravo will air Made in Chelsea: NYC in the U.S.

Rebecca Creskoff (Hung) has joined the cast of Silicon Valley for its second season.

— Space will broadcast Swedish series Real Human this November. The 10-episode sci-fi series is set in a parallel universe where humans interact with humanoid robots who can replace friends, parents and (of course) lovers. Look for it to premiere on Saturday, November 10 at 10 p.m. following Doctor Who, before it settles to its Wednesdays at 9 p.m. timeslot.

— Netflix has released a teaser for its new series, Bloodline, which will star Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini and Sissy Spacek. All 13 episodes are scheduled to be released in March 2015.
