Bell Media has announced that Casual will premiere on its streaming service CraveTV this spring.

The series premiered last fall on American streaming service Hulu and is created by Zander Lehmann and produced by Canadian director Jason Reitman and Liz Tigelaar (Life Unexpected).

Casual revolves around Valerie (Trophy Wife’s Michaela Watkins), a newly divorced single mother living with her bachelor brother Alex (The Mindy Project’s Tommy Dewey) and her daughter Laura (Tara Lynn Barr). The first season also includes appearances by Frances Conroy and and Happy EndingsEliza Coupe.

Prior to the debut of the 10-episode first season on Hulu in October 2015, the first two episodes of Casual were screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. “Since we premiered back at TIFF, one of our main goals has been to bring Casual to Canada, said Reitman in a statement released by Bell Media on Thursday (Jan. 14). “Our goal was to make an independent film that could be watched in instalments or binged all at once and we can’t think of a more perfect destination than CraveTV.”

The announcement of Casual joining CraveTV’s lineup has been made the same day that the streaming service was made available to all Canadians with access to the Internet. It was previously only available to Bell customers. Following the one-month free trial, subscribers will be bill for $7.99 a month.
