CBC announced their 2016-17 fall schedule on Thursday (May 26).
Returning hits include Coronation Street, Heartland, Canada’s Smartest Person, Dragons’ Den, Murdoch Mysteries, This Life and Schitt’s Creek. Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays will also be returning with six new episodes.
The network is set to introduce a new Canadian daytime talk show which will feature Steven Sabados and Jessi Cruickshank — title TBA but will debut on Oct. 3. CBC will be developing its digital content with a slate of new web series, including Coming In, from the creators of Shit Girls Say.
New primetime offerings include crime series Shoot the Messenger, drug-trafficking miniseries Pure (in winter) and new comedies Kim’s Convenience and Workin’ Moms.
