HBO’s documentary, Bright Lights will premiere in Canada on Saturday, January 7 at 8 p.m. ET.

The film has been moved up in light of the recent and unexpected deaths of both Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Per HBO release, the documentary tells the story of “a family’s complicated love,” and offers an “intimate portrait of Hollywood royalty in all its eccentricity.”

Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds has received critical acclaim following its debuts at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, the Telluride Film Festival and the New York Film Festival.

The film is directed by Alexis Blood and Fisher Stevens and will feature vintage family films “that bring iconic old-world Hollywood to life,” as well as extensive “vérité footage.”
