Portlandia will return for its seventh season beginning Thursday, January 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Super Channel (SC1).
Season seven will consist of 10 half-hour episodes and will mark the directorial debuts of both series stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein.
In season seven: Fred and Carrie attempt to become storytelling experts to impress friends at a dinner party; the Goth couple discover the wonders of Bed Bath Beyond; Toni and Candace retire from the feminist bookstore and contemplate what’s next for their lives; Carrie dates a hunk; Fred tries tot start his own Portland-based cell phone company.
New guest stars this season include Maria Bamford (Lady Dynamite), Rachel Dratch (Saturday Live), Ana Fabrega (Boy Band), John Early (Search Party), Judy Greer (Archer), Charlie Hales (the mayor of Portland), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars), Tim Heidecker (Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories), Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), Damian Lillard (basketball player), Laurie Metcalf (Getting On), Megan Neuringer (Kroll Show), El-P and Killer Mike of Run the Jewels, Katie Pierson, Fred Schneider, Cindy Wilson of The B-52’s, Linda Ramone, Sam Richardson (Veep), Andy Richter (Conan) Cameron Russell, and Jessica St. Clair (Review).
Returning guest stars include Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Mitchell Hurwitz (Arrested Development), John Levenstein (Silicon Valley), Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is The New Black), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley).
Portlandia’s seventh season debuted in the U.S. on January 5th on IFC. Each episode will be made available on Super Channel On Demand a day following its premiere on Super Channel.
