Big Brother Canada favourite Cassandra Shahinfar was the third houseguest to be evicted this season. As the season four beauty’s second shot in the house came to an end, we caught up on what went wrong with Neda, how she loved to play with Gary and how much of a Y&R fan she is (Global/CBS, please make this happen)!

What did you miss the most from home this time around?

Oh my god… a bed! Food! Comfort! I was a “have not” for two weeks, so of course I missed that stuff. I missed my family and this time around, I had a boyfriend on the outside, so I missed him as well. A good glass of wine was also needed!

Was there any hesitation to go back and play this season?

It’s funny because I’m such a big fan of Big Brother Canada and I always wanted play. To play on the show last year was such a dream come to true of for me. But I had fulfilled everything I needed to fulfil by being on it. I did definitely have to think about coming back but my biggest driving force was my fans and all the people who supported me last season. I couldn’t have said no to disappoint them. They are so loyal to me and I just wanted give them good TV! So, I don’t think I could have ever said no.

What was the one thing you had learned about your game play last season and wanted to change for this season?

I honestly hate it when people say “Oh, I live with no regrets!” But I loved my game last season. When I went back and watched, I was a fan of myself. I loved my game. I made big moves. I kinda stood back and hung around in the shadows when I had to… I played fearlessly — manipulated and fake-cried when I had to. I play Big Brother like my favourite players had played before me, so I didn’t really come into this season wanting to change anything.

At what point did you realize you were going home?

I had this gut feeling all week… As soon as I was put up on the block. Just with the route the house is going this season, with going with whatever the HOH wants and going with the house, I knew that it was going to be a hard task to flip the house and get the votes that I needed to stay.

What went wrong between you and Neda? Where did things start to go wrong?

I don’t know if it was something from just an idea that she had of watching me from my season and saw that as a threat to her game… I loved Neda on her season. Loved her game. Even before going on my season, I always looked up to her and said: “I want to play like Neda did.” It was very disappointing for myself coming into this season [and having things work out like this]. I really wanted to work with Neda. I don’t know if she saw me as too big of a threat. I played the opposite way, where I wanted to align myself with those players I found threatening and have them on my side. I’m not sure where things went wrong. I don’t think there was one specific thing. I just think that she had the wrong idea of who I was before coming on the show.

What should your allies Gary and Dre do to stay out of Neda’s path?

Well, a huge target that would have been in front of them is gone. They’re just going to need to sit back and think of a game plan and how they will go forward. Last week they campaigned hard for me to stay and because of that, they’re going to have a target moving forward if Neda or any of the people on her side win power this week. Gary and Dre are going to need to make need relationships… Fake it until you make it! If you’re going to have to lie, lie for now… Get in good for a couple of weeks and then turn on them. They’re going to have to put in work to make sure that they don’t go home after me. If that happens, it’ll be devastating!

Do you think Neda winning immunity until jury has gone to her head?

I love Big Brother Canada and all the twists that they have. You have to prepare for those twists and that was a huge twist for Neda. That power is huge. She’s safe until jury. She can do anything she wants and have no immediate repercussions. So, has it gone to her head? A little bit. The move she made this week, by winning HOH and going after me, probably wouldn’t have happened if she didn’t have that power. That would have been a move that could have happened later on in the season… But because she has that power, she can play with less fear than the rest of the houseguests.

You were great on “The Young and the Reckless,” would you love to try out for “The Young and the Restless?”

Oh my goodness, The Young and the Restless is my favourite show. I’ve grown up with Y&R… Katherine Chancellor and Jill Abbott fighting in the attic! Remember that scene? I LOVED it. Victor Newman is my homeboy. I would love to be on Y&R. That’s something I would love to see in my future!

You mentioned that you were hurt when you and Neda didn’t get a chance to play together, was there another houseguest that you were happy to play with?

I love that I got to play with Gary. He’s so amazing. As just as genuine, honest and loyal as you see him on TV. He’s the perfect ally to have and the perfect guy to have as your number one in the house. I think I was his number one as well… We could have really gone far in this game, but it’s just… you never know what will happen in the Big Brother Canada house. Unfortunately I got booted out early. I hope he goes all the way.

Do you have a pick to win?

Gary! I want Gary to win. He’s so smart. He was so close on his season. It’s his dream to win and I hope that he can.

What does the house need to do to flip. What do you think it’ll take for someone to finally stand up and make a play for themselves instead of going with the house?

I don’t know… I’m losing hope! I think it will happen in the next couple of weeks because there is a distinct line and now that I’m gone, it’s just going to keep happening until someone stands up. It’s going to be a slippery slope of people I was working with like Gary, Dre, Ika, all those people are on the pecking order. They’re going to go one after the other. They really should have stood up and saved me because I would have been a target in front of them. Who knows! We’ll see how it goes. Who am I to say? I got out after the third week.
