Bravo will premiere new summer hit Claws on Wednesday, July 12 at 10 p.m. ET.
Set in Manatee County, Florida, five manicurists find themselves in the world of organized crime when they begin laundering money for a neighbouring pain clinic. The creative team behind the series includes Rashida Jones and producing partner Will McCormack while the series was created by Eliot Laurence (Welcome to Me). Janine Sherman Barrois (ER and Criminal Minds) serves as showrunner while the series is directed by Howard Deutch (True Blood & Pretty In Pink).
Niecy Nash (Getting On) stars as salon owner Desna who lives with her mentally ill twin brother, Dean (played by Lost’s Harold Perrineau). Desna’s staff includes best friend Jennifer (Jenn Lyon), salon bouncer Ann (Scrubs and Devious Maids’ Judy Reyes), fresh our of prison Polly (True Blood & The Good Wife/Fight’s Carrie Preston), and newbie Virginia (Karrueche Tran).
The series also stars Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) as crime boss Uncle Daddy, Kevin Rankin (Breaking Bad) as Bryce (Jennifer’s husband) and Jack Kesy (The Strain) as gangster Roller (and Bryce’s brother).
The first season premieres last month in the U.S. on TNT and will consist of ten episodes.
