Nominations Announced for the 45th annual Daytime Emmy Awards

The nominations for the 45th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced this past Wednesday on CBS and Global’s The Talk. ABC and City’s General Hospital led the nominations with 26, while NBC and Global’s The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives followed with 25 nominations each. CBS and CTV Two’s The Bold and the Beautiful received 15 nominations.

Canadian actresses Mishael Morgan and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood will face off in the Outstanding Supporting Actress categories. Days of our Lives legends Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes will be honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards this year.

This year’s Daytime Emmy Awards will be maple place on Sunday, April 29, from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and will be hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood. The ceremony will be streamed live on Facebook, Twitter, and the Daytime Emmy Awards website. Viewers with Apple TV will be able to stream the 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards through the Twitter and Facebook apps if they’d prefer watching on a big screen rather than on their computer, tablet or phone.
