It has been announced that the final season of Game of Thrones will premiere on Sunday, April 14, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
The season eight premiere date was revealed with a new tease, “Crypts of Winterfell,” which features the living Starks — Jon (Kit Harington), Sansa (Sophie Turner), and Arya (Maisie Williams) — on an unsettling walk through the Winterfell crypts. The new scene was directed by David Nutter (who won an Emmy for the season five finale, “Mother’s Mercy.” The scene also featured a new score by Ramin Djawadi (who also won an Emmy, for the season seven finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf.”
The six-episode final season of Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT beginning April 14 on HBO and Crave in Canada.
