Denise Alexander is back as Dr. Lesley Webber next week as General Hospital celebrates its 56th anniversary! While the soap turns 56 on April 1, the special episode will actually be broadcast on April 2 due to an earlier pre-emption. Lesley returns to Port Charles to honour the late Dr. Gail Baldwin (who was played by Susan Brown, who passed away last summer). Entertainment Weekly previews that Gail’s final wish was to have all her friends together, so Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) arranges a special gathering.
This week on General Hospital: Lucy (Lynn Herring) offers moral support on Monday (April 1). Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells a lie. Franco (Roger Howarth) is confrontational. Laura (Genie Francis) confides in Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Carly (Laura Wright) is shocked.
On Tuesday (April 2), Scotty (Kin Shriner) receives a heartfelt message. Franco is curious. Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) hug. Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) interrupts. Monica (Leslie Charleson) is called by into work.
Sam (Kelly Monaco) steals a moment alone with Jason (Steve Burton) on Wednesday (April 3). Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) crosses the line. Michael (Chad Duel) needs Sonny (Maurice Benard). Cameron (William Lipton) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) have breakfast. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) asks Bobbie for advice.
On Thursday (April 4), Josslyn calls Carly. Kim (Tamara Braun) receives bad news. Laura is startled. Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) has dinner with Stella (Vernee Watson).
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) struggles with her feelings on Friday (April 5). Anna (Finola Hughes) gives Peter (Wes Ramsey) advice. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is put on notice. Finn (Michael Easton) is ready to take the next step. Lucy helps out a friend.

Valerie Recast: After spending years on the back burner, General Hospital has recast the role of Valerie Spencer now that Brytni Sarpy is on The Young and the Restless as Elena. Paulina Bugembe will soon assume the role of Valerie and began taping last week, according to Soap Opera Digest.
