Bell Media has announced that it debut their rebranded speciality channels on Thursday, September 12.
The rebrand, which was originally announced at last year’s upfront presentation, will see “the next evolution” of The Comedy Network, Space, Bravo, and Gusto as CTV Comedy Channel, CTV Sci-Fi Channel, CTV Drama Channel, and CTV Life Channel.
CTV Comedy Channel will feature the Mad About You revival which will have Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt reprising their roles. Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud sports interview series Cold As Balls also joins the lineup. The network has also picked up Tacoma FD.
CTV Sci-Fi Channel will debut Star Trek: Picard when it launches this fall, along with Resident Alien (based on the comic book series). Also look out for the second season of Castle Rock. A new season of Star Trek: Discovery will premiere in 2020.
Julia Ormond’s Gold Digger will launch on CTV Drama Channel, as well as Patrick Dempsey’s The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair. The roster also includes The Handmaid’s Tale and Killing Eve.
Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Ultimate Veg will join CTV Life Channel’s lineup, which includes Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club, Escape to the Country, Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, Bonacini’s Italy and Where To I Do.
