New on CBC Gem: What’s Streaming in November 2019

The fifth season of Luther comes to CBC Gem this month (November 15) as DCI John Luther (Idris Elbra) once again confronts the depths of human depravity. The third season of Documentary Now! begins streaming on November 8 — hosted by Helen Mirren and starring Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, the series pays loving homage to the world’s best-known documentaries.

Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy hits the streaming service on November 22. University lecturer Adam Bell (Jake Gyllenhaal) is nearing the end of his realtionship with his girlfriend Mary (Mélanie Laurent). One night, while watching a film, Adam spots a minor actor who looks just like him. Consumed by the desire to meet his double, Adam tracks down Anthony, an actor living with his pregnant wife Helen (Sarah Gadon) and engages him in a complex and dangerous struggle.

Canada’s Music Hall of Fame Special will be available as of November 2. Watch as legendary artists Andy Kim, Bobby Curtola, Chilliwack and Cowboy Junkies are inducted into the Canada Music Hall of Fame at Calgary’s National Music Centre. The ceremony includes appearances by presenters Andy Maize, Ed Robertson and Randy Bachman. CBC Music Presents premieres on November 15 — look for 15 new episodes including full length performances from CBC Music’s First Play Live JUNO 365 sessions and live event recordings from City and Colour, July Talk, Cadence Weapon, Jess Moskaluke, Arkells, Ria Mae, and more.

Scotiabank Giller Prize streams on Monday, November 18 at 9 p.m. and will be hosted by Jann Arden. CBC’s Remembrance Day collection will include Paul GrossPasschendaele (2008) and Hyena Road. New episodes of Coronation Street and Tallboyz will also be available.
