The highly anticipated Star Trek: Picard premieres this Thursday, January 23 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV Sci-Fi in Canada.
Patrick Stewart reprises his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard and will be joined by familiar faces from the Star Trek franchise such as Brent Spiner (Lieutenant Commander Data), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), and Jonathan Del Arco (Borg drone Hugh). Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis will also appear in the 10-episode first season as Commander Riker and Counselor Deanna Troi.
Star Trek: Picard is set 18 years after Picard’s last appearance in the 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis where he is still deeply affected by the death of Data and the destruction of Romulus – which occurred in the 2009’s Star Trek film.
As Picard begins the next chapter of his life, he will also be joined by new characters: Agnes Jurati (Alison Pill), a doctor with whom he shares a common goal; Dahj (Isa Briones), a young woman who comes to him for help; pilot/thief/former Starfleet officer Chris Rios (Big Little Lies’ Santiago Cabrera); Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd, Another World); a former Starfleet intelligence officer struggling with substance abuse; Narek (Harry Treadaway, The Crown), a Romulan agent, and Elnor (Evan Evagora), a Romulan refugee.
Episodes of Star Trek: Picard will premiere Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on CTV Sci-Fi and then will be available to stream each Friday on Crave beginning January 24. In the U.S., the series will stream on CBS All Access each Thursday night. Amazon Prime will stream the series internationally each Friday (beginning January 24).
