John (Drake Hogestyn) nervously awaits news about Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) surgery. “Stefano” (Stephen Nichols) is determined to thwart Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) attempts to end his control over Steve’s body.
On Tuesday (April 7), “Stefano” makes one last request to see his children. Eric prepares to tell Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) the truth about their daughter. Kayla makes a bold decision in order to get Steve back. Abigail (Kate Mansi) and Anna (Leann Hunley) voice their concern over Chad (Billy Flynn) and Tony (Thaao Penghlis).

Kayla and Sarah encounter an unexpected complication during Steve’s surgery on Wednesday (April 8). Eric shares a tearful goodby with Mackenzie. Xander has a surprising request for Sonny (Freddie Smith). Evan (Brock Kelly) meets with Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) face-to-face.
On Thursday (April 9), Justin (Wally Kurth) confides in Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) about his fear of losing Kayla. Victor (John Aniston) and Xander share a touching moment. Eric and Nicole intercept Sarah on the day of her wedding. Kayla sits vigil with Steve after his surgery.
Sarah gets the shock of her life on Friday (April 10). Kristen struggles with her pain. Marlena tries to help Steve. Steve wakes up from his surgery, but there’s a hitch.
