Corus Entertainment has announced Global’s slate of programming for the upcoming 2020-21 television season, as well as its new fall schedule.
Global will debut three new primetime dramas. Six-part international event series Departure stars Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife) and Christopher Plummer (All the Money in the World) and follows the shocking disappearance of Flight 716, a passenger plane that vanishes over the Atlantic Ocean.
Mad Men’s John Slattery stars in neXt, a fact-based thriller about the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines pulse-sounding action with a layered examination of how technology is invading our lives and transforming us in ways we don’t yet understand. The Fox series will air on Mondays at 9 p.m. CBS’s FBI: Most Wanted and Bill will air at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
From CBS, The Equalizer is a reimagining of the classic series and will star Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. The Equalizer will air on Sundays at 8 p.m. and will be followed by NCIS: Los Angeles (at 9 p.m.) and NCIS: New Orleans (at 10 p.m.)
Global has also acquired CBS news programs 60 Minutes and 48 Hours.
Returning programs also include NCIS, FBI and New Amsterdam on Tuesdays; Survivor, Private Eyes and SEAL Team on Wednesdays; The Neighbourhood, The Unicorn and Evil on Thursdays; MacGyver and The Blacklist on Fridays.

Specials on tap includethe 2020 Canadian Country Music Awards (Sunday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT).
Midseason will see the returns of Prodigal Son, 9-1-1 and S.W.A.T. as well as original drama Family Law starring Jewel Staite (Firefly) and Victor Garber (Alias) and the second season of Nurses. No update yet on the return of Big Brother Canada – but Big Brother is always watching/listening.
