The Boys to Return for Second Season on September 4

Amazon Prime has announced that The Boys will return for its second season on Friday, September 4, 2020.

The first three episodes will premiere on September 4, with one new episode debuting each Friday for the next five weeks, culminating in the season finale on October 9.

The announcement was made this past Friday (June 26) when the cast and executive producer Eric Kripke joined Patton Oswalt for a streaming event. Check out the event below, along with the revealing opening moments of season two.

Filmed in Toronto, The Boys stars Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capron, Karen Fukuhara, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and Nathan Mitchell. Aya Cash (You’re the Worst) joins the cast in the second season. Recurring season two stars include Claudia Doumit, Goran Visnijc, Malcolm Barrett, Colby Minifie, Shantal VanSanten, Cameron Crovetti, PJ Byrne, Laila Robbins and Giancarlo Esposito.

The Boys‘ second season will see our crew on the run from the law and hunted by the Supes as they desperately try to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Alonso), Frenchie (Capon), and Kimiko (Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Moriarty) tries to navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control.
