The 93rd Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, April 25, at 8 p.m. ET on CTV in Canada and ABC in the U.S.

This year’s nominations were announced by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas on March 15 from London with David Fincher’s Mank leading the nominations with 10 nods – including Best Picture. The Father, Judas and the Black Messiah, Minari, Nomadland, Sound of Metal, and The Trial of the Chicago 7 are all tied for six nominations apiece.

This year’s nominees are the Academy’s most diverse with 20 acting nominees from different ethnic backgrounds while two women are nominated for Best Director – Nomadland’s Chloé Zhao and Promising Young Woman’s Emerald Fennell.

This year’s sole Canadian contender is the documentary short A Concerto Is a Conversation, which is co-directed by Halifax, Nova Scotia’s Ben Proudfoot alongside Kris Bowers.
