General Hospital is celebrating Nancy Lee Grahn’s 25th anniversary on the soap a bit early! Tge actress first appeared as headstrong attorney Alexis Davis on September 26, 1996 and this week finds herself preparing for a three-year stint at Pentonville.

Looking for a glimpse into Alexis’ past as well as her relationship with her daughters. The special episode is set to air this Thursday, April 8.

Also, this week on General Hospital, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) worries when Spencer doesn’t take his calls.

Casting

Soap Opera Digest reports that Sean Blakemore is headed back to General Hospital as Shawn Butler. The actor portrayed the role from 2011-15 and reprised the role briefly in 2016. Shawn was written out when he went to Pentonville prison for shooting Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) – a crime he did not commit.

Shawn shares a romantic past with Jordan (now played by Briana Nicole Henry), Carly and Alexis and is the biological father of TJ Ashford (now played by Tajh Bellow). 

Blakemore won the Outstanding Supporting Actor Daytime Emmy back in 2016.
