The 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards will air on Global in Canada on Friday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Canadians can also catch the ceremony on their CBS as well.
Hosted by The Talk’s Sheryl Underwood, this year’s ceremony will take place in Los Angeles and will feature stars appearing from the Emmy stage, individual show studios, and their homes to accept their awards. Additional winners will also be announced simultaneously on Twitter (@DaytimeEmmys). Underwood is not only a soap fan but has also guest-starred on both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
Nominations for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards were revealed on May 25 and include Canadian actors Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante, General Hospital) while Alex Trebek (Jeopardy)received a posthumous nomination for Outstanding Game Show Host.
