Nine Perfect Strangers, based on Liane Moriarty’s (Big Little Lies) bestselling novel, will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in Canada on Friday, August 20. The 8-episode limited series premiered on Hulu this past Wednesday, August 18.
The series, which reunites star Nicole Kidman with executive producer David E. Kelley, takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this 10-day retreat is the resort’s director, Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.
Nine Perfect Strangers also stars Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone, and Manny Jacinto.
The series was filmed in Australia in fall 2020.
Following the premiere episode on August 20, new episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers will debut Fridays on Amazon Prime Video in Canada.
