Acclaimed Hulu series Dopesick is now available on Disney+ in Canada, through Star.

Written and produced by Danny Strong (Empire, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is inspired by the New York Times bestselling book by Beth Macy about how one company triggered the worst drug epidemic in American history, taking viewers to the epicenter of America’s struggle with opioid addiction – from the boardrooms of “Big Pharma,” to a distressed Virginia mining community, to the hallways of the DEA.

The 8-episode series will find heroes emerging in an intense and thrilling ride to take down the craven corporate forces behind this national crisis and their allies.

Dopesick stars Michael Keaton (who also serves as executive producer), Peter Sarsgaard, Michael Stuhlbarg, Will Poulter, John Hoogenakker, Kaitlyn Dever, and Rosario Dawson. Guest stars include Phillipa Soo and Jake McDorman.

The first three episodes of Dopesick premiered in the U.S. on Oct. 13, with new episodes being rolled out weekly – culminating in the finale on Nov. 17. The first two episodes were made available in Canada (and other territories under the Star, Hotstar, and Star+) on Nov. 12 as part of Disney+ Day. Look for new episodes to stream each Wednesday, beginning Nov. 17.
