Earlier this week, U.S. streaming service Peacock released its first full trailer for the upcoming Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot, Bel-Air. The first look gives us a glimpse of Jabari Banks’ Will arriving in California to live with his family. Check it out below.
Developed by Will Smith and Morgan Coper, the dramatic re-imaging is set to premiere on Monday, February 14, at 9 p.m. ET on Showcase in Canada and stream weekly on STACKTV. The series will premiere in the U.S. on Sunday, February 13 on Peacock.
Filmed on location in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, Bel-Air will showcase Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air and the hourlong format will give viewers a deeper dive into the inherent conflicts, emotions, and biases that were impossible to fully explore in the original series’ 30-minute sitcom format.
Starring alongside Jabari Banks are Adrian Holmes (as Philip Banks), Cassandra Freeman (as Vivian Banks), Olly Sholotan (as Carlton Banks), Coco Jones (as Hilary Banks), Akira Akbar (as Ashley Banks), Jimmy Akingbola (as Geoffrey), Jordan L. Jones (as Jazz), and Simone Joy Jones (as Lisa).
Bel-Air premieres Monday, February 14 at 9 p.m. ET on Showcase and STACKTV.
