CBC, Canada’s official Olympic broadcaster, will have more than 2400 hours of live content for Canadians through multiple platforms, including English-language broadcasts on CBC and partner networks TSN and Sportsnet, as well as streaming platform CBC Gem, the CBC Sports app (for iOS and Android) and online at cbc.ca/beijing2022.
2022 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony
Coverage will begin with the Opening Ceremony beginning Friday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 a.m. ET on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC News Network, TSN, and Sportsnet. The Opening Ceremony will also be offered in Eastern Cree with live commentary by Dorothy Stewart and Betsy Longchap. The Opening Ceremony will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. ET.
CBC broadcasters presenting the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will include Scott Russell, Andi Petrillo, Harnarayan Singh, P.J. Stock, Hailey Salvian, Perdita Felicien, and Andrew Chang for the following daily broadcasts on CBC (and CBC Gem) through Feb. 20:
- Olympic Winter Games Morning from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET (4-9 a.m. PT)
- Samsung Hockey Show from Noon through 1 p.m. ET (9-10 a.m. PT)
- Beijing Today presented by Toyota from 1 to 6 p.m. ET (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT)
- Olympic Winter Games Primetime from 7 p.m. to Midnight (4-9 p.m. PT)
- Olympic Winter Games Overnight from 12 to 6 a.m. ET (9 p.m. to 3 a.m. PT)
CBC’s Winter Games Presenters and Reporters
CBC News will also provide updates to keep Canadians informed of breaking stories with reporters Adrienne Arsenault, Anthony Germain, Steven D’Souza, Kris Reyes, and Lisa Xing.
Stewart and Longchap will also provide commentary for select hockey games in Eastern Cree alongside Pujjuut Kusugak and David Ningeongan.
