Family Karma is back for its third season this Sunday, November 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Slice in Canada and on Bravo in the U.S. Episodes will stream the following day on STACKTV and Hayu in Canada and Peacock in the U.S.
The docu-series is an intimate look at a group of Indian-American friends in Florida navigating life, love, and careers while balancing the cultural traditions and expectations of their traditional parents and grandparents. Canadians can also stream the first two seasons of Family Karma on Hayu.
Central to this season’s storyline is the much-anticipated wedding of Vishal and Risha, who are finally ready to walk around the fire – after 10 years of dating and three engagements! While their families plan the “Bollywood” wedding of their own dreams, Vishal has other plans: to party like it’s 1999 – which causes both Reshma and Lopa aunties to worry. Could Vishal hang up his “life of the party” title for his new role as a husband?
Meanwhile, Amrit and his fiancé Nicholas gear up to also tie the knot in the first elaborate Indian gay wedding in their community, but they confront difficulties of planning an interracial same-sex marriage.
Bali and O’Malley are stronger than ever but watch for an ultimatum from Bali’s ex-husband to force her to make a life-changing decision all while she continues to balance her life as a mother and a friend to the group and their mothers (aka the Aunties).
Brian finds himself single once again and is ready to mingle. While on the search for the girl of his dreams, he’s also taking steps to be the man he wants to be – which may mean leaving the nest for good.
Rish, who has been friends with Monica since childhood, lives on his own – unlike most of the twentysomethings in his community and is eager to give Monica the assurance she wants but would like to do it in his own time. And while Monica may be considered the “perfect Indian girl” by her community, she’s ready to take her relationship with Rish to the next level, however, a growing secret among her friends threatens their future together.
As for Anisha, she’s found her Mr. Right, but her focus on him has put a strain on her relationship with the group. Look for her to return to Miami in hopes of making amends, but not everyone is on board!
