Spun off from 2023’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem film, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres this Friday, August 9 on Paramount+ in Canada and the U.S.
The new Ninja Turtles series will pick up where last year’s film left off with the voice cast reprising their roles: Micah Abbey (Cousins for Life) as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. (The Chi) as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu The Walking Dead: World Beyond) as Leonardo, Brady Noon (Family Switch) as Raphael and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) as April O’Neil.
James Sie (Avatar: The Last Airbender) will take over voicing Master Splinter from Jackie Chan. Also appearing this season are Rose Byrne (Platonic) as Leatherhead, Natasia Demetriou (What We Do in the Shadows) as Wingnut, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad) as Pigeon Pete, Timothy Olyphant (Justified) as Goldfin, Jillian Bell (Good Burger 2), Danny Trejo (The Book of Boba Fett) as Mustang Sally, Carin James as Hun, and Jamila Velasquez (Empire) as Angel.
Other guest stars this season include Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live) as Rod – a lazy rich kid who loves Mutants so much that he’ll do everything in his power to become one – and Alana Ubach (Ted) as Bishop – a brilliant inventor who believes mutants are the greatest danger to humanity and that all of them, including the Turtles, must be eliminated.
All 12 episodes of the first season episodes will be available to stream when the show premieres and will see the turtles as they navigate their dual lives as both teenagers and heroes in New York City.
Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will bridge the first film and the planned sequel. The series will also premiere on Saturday, August 10 in the U.K. and Australia on Paramount+.
