As Days of our Lives gears up for its milestone 60th anniversary, two of its biggest stars, Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans) and Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), recently sat down with The TV Watercooler to discuss the enduring legacy of the iconic soap. However, the conversation took a thrilling, unexpected detour into the final frontier!

During the exclusive interview, Hall revealed she recently completed a secret guest-starring role on in a Star Trek television series, most likely Paramount+’s hit prequel, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which is expected to premiere its fourth season in 2026.

The Secret is Out: “Dr. Evans” Meets Captain Pike?

“I was just there! I was up there doing Star Trek. I love Toronto,” Hall shared casually, referencing the city where The TV Watercooler is based and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy are filmed.

Martsolf, who also visited the region with his band, The Day Players, was genuinely stunned by the revelation. “I don’t even know about this! I’ve been hanging out with her all day and I know nothing about this!” he exclaimed.

When pressed for further details, Hall played a guessing game about her Star Trek character.

“Ask me what I play on Star Trek… It’s not who, it’s what!”

The surprising answer? She plays a psychiatrist, a role that mirrors her long-running, beloved character on Peacock and W Network’s Days of our Lives.

Given the psychiatric needs of the Strange New Worlds crew – especially Captain Pike (Anson Mount), who is grappling with the knowledge of his grim future – the presence of an expert similar to Dr. Evans on the USS Enterprise makes perfect sense.

Deidre Hall’s leap from the fictional town of Salem to the bridge of the Starship Enterprise is an incredible collision of two beloved worlds! We’ll be tuning in to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to see the TV icon in action!

Stay tuned to The TV Watercooler for more with Hall and Martsolf as DAYS celebrates its 60th anniversary.
