'Madonna & Graham' Special Comes to BBC First in Canada This Weekend (Canadian Exclusive)
Get ready to hit the dance floor! The TV Watercooler is thrilled to reveal that the Queen of Pop is sitting down with one of television’s best hosts for a brand-new special.
Madonna & Graham will air in Canada this Saturday, June 27, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on BBC First.
The world-exclusive interview, which airs on June 26 on the BBC in the UK, sees Graham Norton meeting Madonna for an intimate, in-depth discussion about her legendary life and celebrated career. The interview comes highly anticipated, just ahead of the July 3 release of her brand-new album, Confessions II.
Returning to Her Roots
The special was recorded at the legendary Koko in Camden, London. For Madonna fans, this venue holds serious historical weight – it was the stage of her first-ever UK show back in 1983, and it was also the launchpad for her landmark 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Reflecting on the opportunity, Norton shared his excitement about the location and his guest:
“As a lifelong fan, it is always a thrill to interview Madonna, but to meet her on the dance floor where she first performed in London over thirty years ago felt incredibly special. She remains a legendary pop icon who is still doing what she does best – getting people up to dance!”
What to Expect
During the special, Madonna opens up about:
· Her early hustle and grinding in New York City.
· Her enduring and unique relationship with the UK.
· Behind-the-scenes thoughts on her most recent Coachella performance.
The program will also feature special guests, including an appearance by Madonna’s long-time collaborator, Stuart Price. Together, they will take Graham inside the sonic world of Confessions II, revealing the inspirations, stories, and creative process behind the new record.
Exclusive Sneak Peek
As part of our exclusive reveal, we have a sneak peek of the conversation between Graham and Madonna, where they discuss why the dance floor remains such a vital part of her artistic DNA:
“Well, that’s how I started. I was a dancer. So dancing is in my DNA. And the first music I made was dance music. I like the connection I have with people dancing with people, whether I’m on the stage or on the dance floor. It just creates community. And sometimes relationships.”
Don’t Miss: Madonna & Graham airs this Saturday, June 27, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on BBC First in Canada. Canadians can also catch The Graham Norton Show on BBC First.
