Homeland’s eighth and final season is set to premiere on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET on Crave in Canada and on Showtime in the U.S.

Homeland’s final season will find Carrie (Claire Danes) recovering from months of brutal confinement in a Russian gulag. While her body may be healing, her memory remains fractured – which is a problem for Saul (Mandy Patinkin), who is now the National Security Advisor to the newly ascendant President Warner (Beau Bridges). President Warner’s top priority is to end the “forever war” in Afghanistan, which has Saul dispatched to engage the Taliban in peace negotiations. Against medical advice, Saul asks Carrie to walk with him into the lion’s den one last time.

Returning for the 12-episode final season alongside Danes and Patinkin are Maury Sterling (Max), Linus Roache (David Wellington) and Costa Ronin (Yevgeny Gromov). Returning from the fourth season are Nimrat Kaur (Tasneem Qureshi) and Numan Acar (Haissam Haqqani). New recurring cast members this season include Sam Trammell as Vice President Benjamin Hayes and Hugh Dancy as John Zabel.
