— Finally, some really great soap news for a change! NBC announced on Friday that they’ve renewed Days of our Lives for the 2010-2011 season.
— Soap Opera Digest released a list of actors who have been asked to return for Frances Reid (Alice Horton) tribute. Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton Deveraux), Jaime Lyn Bauer (Laura Horton), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady), Roark Crtichlow (Mike Horton), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton) Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady Johnson), Patsy Pease (Kimberly Brady), Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donavan) and Lisa Trusel (Melissa Anderson) are reportedly returning.
Clark confirmed to fans that she will be returning as Carrie on her official blog, while Reeves took to Twitter to confirm her return as Jennifer. An NBC rep confirmed to TV Guide Magazine that Shaughnessy is slated to return for at least 10 episodes as Shane. No word yet on the length of the other returns.
— Adrianne Leon will return to General Hospital this May as Brook Lynn Ashton, Ned and Lois’ daughter. Leon’s previous stint lasted from 2004-2006. In 2006, the actress/musician joined The Young and the Restless as Colleen [#2] and was unceremoniously axed in 2007. Brook Lyn is back at the Quartermaine mansion in recurring capacity, hopefully they’ll up her to contract quickly.
— Soaps in Depth is reporting that Jesse Soffer and Jennifer Landon will return to As the World Turns as Will and Gwen. The actors are expected to return to the Brooklyn set in April.
— TV Guide Magazine has released the final airdates for One Life to Live’s Kyle and Fish. Brett Claywell (Kyle) and Scott Evans (Fish) will last air together on April 12th however Kyle will have a scene which takes place in a hospital on April 16th.
— Victor Alfieri (ex-Franco, DAYS; ex-Giovanni, B&B) will play a photographer on All My Children beginning April 5th.
— And this just in…GH has decided to recast the role of Michael Corinthos. Chad Duell will be taking over the role from Drew Garrett on Tuesday, April 20th according to SOAPnet. Garrett assumed the role of Carly’s son last April when the character woke up from a coma. [Updated Monday, March 23 at 3:30pm]

JR is upset when he learns that Annie was his bone marrow donor. JR later tells Colby that he plans on taking Annie down. Liza is furious when Tad breaks things off with her. Tad accuses Liza of using Damon to go after him. Greenlee doesn’t allow David to turn himself in. Adam is fed up with Annie’s paranoia and insecurity. Annie vents to Liza about Brooke. Damon lies to Angie about not stealing the pills. Randi warns Ryan about Madison’s affections. David realizes that Liza could be the answer to his problems. Adam loses patience with Annie. Liza makes a deal with David. Jack tells Erica that he’s sticking around and wonders if they can recapture what they once shared. Amanda becomes the new model at Fusion. JR uses Brooke’s interview to lure Annie into his scheme.

Taylor tries to prove that she’s over Ridge. When Ridge and Taylor take a trip down memory lane, Whip becomes uncomfortable. Bill attempts to take Katie’s mind off her unemployment. Aggie hints to Nick that Bridget has done something wrong. Taylor makes a realization about her relationship with Whip. Bridget continues to be consumed with the guilt of her affair with Owen.
