deimos dead days of our lives

— You’d think a head writer and producer would know about their actor’s contract cycles, right? Wrong. Turns out that when Days of our Lives let Brandon Beemer (Shawn) go, he had just started a new contract cycle and the network would have been forced to pay him for 26 weeks either way. Daytime Confidential reports that Beemer recently returned to set as Shawn. Too bad the same loophole didn’t keep Madison around… Belle/Shawn have been great to watch recently.

Jason47 confirms that Kassie DePaiva will return as Eve for Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) departure story.

— Kate Mansi revealed (via Instagram) that Friday, June 24 will mark her final episode as Abigail. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that newcomer Marci Miller will take over the role of Jack and Jennifer’s daughter this fall.

Kristian Alfonso will have standalone episode on Wednesday (June 8) as Hope turns to her past to help her through an emotional time. (You won’t want to miss who stops by!)

On Thursday (June 9), despite working on opposite sides, Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) share a nice moment.

On Friday (June 10), Nicole worries about facing charges for Deimos’ death while a very much alive Deimos weakly travels to a gas station and calls someone for help.

hayden nikolas general hospital

— Ingo Rademacher is brining Jax back to General Hospital this summer! TV Line reports that the fan favourite will be back beginning July 29 on a recurring basis. Look for Jax to factor in on the storyline involving where Josslyn’s kidneys actually came from.

— Coming up next week on General Hospital (ABC/City): Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) theory about Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) has them considering contacting the police on Monday (June 6). Hayden (Rebecca Budig) is unsure about about Naomi’s (Robin Riker) sincerity. Monica (Leslie Charleson) is forced to confront Fin (Michael Easton). Nathan (Ryan Paevey) has a confession for Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Franco (Roger Howarth) reaches out to Liz (Rebecca Herbst).

On Tuesday (June 7), Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) continues to have conflicting emotions about Julian (William deVry). Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) can’t get Parker (Ashley Jones) off her mind. Paul (Richard Burgi) asks Anna (Finola Hughes) to start fresh on Wednesday (June 8). Tracy’s (Jane Elliot) good-natured encounter with Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) stuns her family.

Griffin (Matt Cohen) is at the end of his rope on Thursday (June 9). A suspicious Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) puts a tail on someone. Jason considers the perfect time to search for clues. On Friday (June 10), Julian advises Ava (Maura West) to lay low for a while. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is thrilled to learn that Jason remembers his past. Naomi covers for Hayden — but what will she ask in return?
