Bravo announced this week that The Handmaid’s Tale will premiere its second season in Canada on Sunday, April 29, at 9 p.m. ET. Hulu will premiere the second season on April 25 in the U.S.
The 13-episode second season will be shaped by Offred’s pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead.
Filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario, The Handmaid’s Tale (based on Margaret Atwood’s novel) is the most-watched series in Bravo history and was the most-watched series on Canadian Entertainment Specialty during the 2016-17 broadcast year.
The series stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley and Amanda Brugel. It has been announced that the second season will feature guest appearances by Marisa Tomei and Cherry Jones.
