On Wednesday (December 26), Nikki shocks her family. Ana (Loren Lott) shares a secret with Fen (Zach Tinker). Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle) hit a bump in the road.

Nikki’s life hangs in the balance on Thursday (December 27).

Behind the Scenes: The Young and the Restless is going through yet another creative change behind the scenes. Mal Young will no longer be Y&R’s head writer and executive producer. The showrunner confirmed his departure to Showbiz 411 saying “Just arrived in London for the holidays. I felt like it was a good time to move on. Never a good idea to get too settled on a long-running soap and I achieved all that I and CBS set out to do: improved scripts and production values.”

It is being reported that Anthony Morina will be stepping in as executive producer while Josh Griffith will return to head writing duties. Morina has been a longtime supervising producer while Griffith previously served as head writing from 2007-2008 and from 2012-2013. CBS and Sony have yet to confirm these appointments.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on Global and CBS. Canadian viewers can catch up with Y&R on demand, on the Global Go app and online at GlobalTV.com.
