Well, this sucks — Loren Lott has revealed that she last aired as Ana on The Young and the Restless this past week.
The always positive and cheerful actress and American Idol alum took to her YouTube channel to document her final day of filming at the Global/CBS soap, calling it an “amazing journey.” Lott, who joined the soap in November 2018 as Devon’s (Bryton James) sister, explained that she was told that they no longer knew what to do for her character creatively and wanted to spend their budget on the storylines of others.”
It’s a shame that the execs at CBS and Sony haven’t seen value in writing for a character who is not only such a fresh slate. While the network boasts about diversity, representation clearly doesn’t matter.
This week on The Young and the Restless: Victor (Eric Braeden) tackles a tough decision on Monday (July 29; Canadian airdates listed). Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle) plan their wedding. Billy (Jason Thompson) spirals out of control.
