This week on Days of our Lives: Hattie (Deidre Hall) causes complications for Kate (Lauren Koslow) on Monday (January 13). Clyde (James Read) suggests to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) they break out of prison. “Steve” (Stephen Nichols) reveals his true identity to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is blown away when Xander (Paul Telfer) and Victor’s (John Aniston) secret is revealed.
Abigail (Kate Mansi) is surprised to find her father with Kristen on Tuesday (January 14). Chad (Billy Flynn) grows suspicious of Kate. Eli (Lamon Archey) proposes to Gabi (Camila Banus)! Lani (Sal Stowers) reveals to JJ (Casey Moss) about what Gabi has done.
On Wednesday (January 15), Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) and “Stefano” devise a new plot to break up John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (also Deidre Hall). Abe (James Reynold) is stunned when Eli fills him in about Lani. Armed with a hidden agenda, JJ pays Gabi a visit. Julia (Susan Seaforth Hayes) has bold advice for Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).
“Steve” convinces John to leave town with him to hunt down Stefano on Thursday (January 16). JJ attempts to disable Gabi’s pacemaker app. Lani enlists Kristen’s help. Kayla and Rafe (Galen Gering) compare notes on Hope.

On Friday (January 17), Xander demands to know what Ciara is going to do now that she knows the truth. Sonny (Freddie Smith) visits Will (Chandler Massey) in prison so they can sign their divorce papers. Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) receive more bad news about Mickey. Kristen wants to talk to Brady (Eric Martsolf) about the day their baby died.
During the week of January 20, we flash back to see what happened in Salem on Mother’s Day the year before:
- Sonny and Justin (Wally Kurth) revisit the last day of Adrienne’s (Judi Evans) life.
- Sarah goes goes into labour.
- Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) gets an upsetting visit from someone from her past.
- Will finds Adrienne and Sarah in a precarious situation.
- Abigail tells JJ that Haley (Thia Megia) is dead.
- Jack (Matthew Ashford) tearfully says goodbye to Adrienne.
- George DelHoyo returns as Orpheus.
- Marie Wilson is also back as Summer.
Renewal Update: When asked about the status of Days of our Lives at TCA, NBC Chairman Paul Telegdy made it clear that the soap would continue on NBC when asked about the official renewal. “Of course Days of our Lives is going to carry on. We love it… I know that will be good news for the fans.” Telegdy also confirmed that the series would continue to air on broadcast television and not make the switch to the upcoming Peacock streaming platform. Deadline reports that the delay of DAYS’s official confirmation is so that Sony Pictures Television can adjust the show’s business model.
